Candle making program
Nepalese women are still marginalized from the opportunities
such as economic resources as property, income and employment as well as
other resources due to illiteracy, unhealthy environment, poverty and conservative
social taboos. Therefore SEO is launching employment oriented training programs
for the women in order to make them competent for employment and entrepreneurship,
in addition to making them self-reliant.
SEO conducted Candle Making Training from August 17 to August 25, 2006.
Fifteen women participated in the training. The training was financially
supported by Mrs. Dawn C. Brittain and Mr. Peter Brittain (U.S.A.) and Mrs.
Gigliolo Gasperin and Mr. Zeni Andreino. (Italy).
