The Society for Each Other (SEO) is a government registered, independent, non-profit charitable social welfare organization established in 1999. It is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, which coordinates and supervises all the social organizations of Nepal.
why we exist
SEO was established with the mission of launching programs
for the fulfillment of the child rights described by the Child Rights Convention
of 1990 and Beijing Declaration 1995 for women's development.
Towards fulfilling this mission we are committed to:
1. Provide basic and functional learning opportunities
to children.
2. Encourage and enable poor and disadvantaged children to enroll in
school.
3. Find sponsors for the education of poor and underprivileged children.
4. Assist rural schools in improving their conditions; both educational
and
with regards to infrastructure.
5. Conduct women-targeted training and income-generating programs.
6. Run programs to enhance women's capabilities in order to enable
women to utilize employment opportunities.
7. Facilitate women’s access to formal and non-formal education.
8. Raise consciousness about gender equality through promotional programs.
